Our Team: Kallin Johnson

Kallin Johnson

Piano Faculty

Kallin Johnson retired in 2024 after 35 years as Director of Music at Notre Dame Academy. He is the current Director of Music/Organist at the First Church of Christ, Lancaster, MA and is the Principal Pianist of the Massachusetts Symphony Orchestra.  Kallin holds a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from New England Conservatory and a Bachelor of Arts degrees in Music and French from Utah State University.  

Mr. Johnson is the Founding Executive Director of the Pakachoag Music School. He has been on the faculty of numerous colleges and universities including Clark University and Harvard University.  Kallin was also Director of Music at the Performing Arts School of Worcester.  He is also a past president of ARTSWorcester and the Massachusetts Music Teachers Association. 

Mr. Johnson served as a Founding member of the Board of the Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts from 2002 until 2015.  He is also a past president of First Night Worcester.  Kallin has worked at most of the central Massachusetts theater companies. He served as Executive Director of the New England Theatre Company for eight years. Mr. Johnson is the recipient of many awards including the 1994 Worcester Telegram & Gazette’s Vision 2000 Cultural Enrichment Award.
