What to Expect
During each music class, the teacher will lead music activities for the whole family to sing, play, and jam along. The teacher will show families how to make everyday items like dish towels, pots, and stuffies into musical props. Each class is designed as an active music-making experience for little ones and their grownups.
Parent participation is THE key, as the adult serves as the child’s role model.
Summer Samplers provide a glimpse of the school-year Music Together program. Children explore and develop pitch, through singing, and rhythm, through movement. Parents serve as role models through their participation. Classes are designed to be fun and are based on a weekly curriculum that encourages music growth, exploration, and memory development through repetition of songs and activities.
Unlike the school year program, a song book, CD and learning guide are not provided as part of this shorter summer program.
All classes scheduled are appropriate for children aged birth through five years.
Special Learners Summer Class
A Special Learners music and movement class, designed for children 6-10 years old with special learning needs, is available to learning pods upon request. Groups interested in scheduling a class for a Special Learners pod will need at least five families registered to run.
Siblings of any age are welcome to attend with a special learner without any additional tuition.
Please email info@pakmusic.org if interested.
