Outreach Concerts

Sharing Music with Community

Performing in new and different venues is a great experience for our students.  Versatility and adaptability are additional skills that students acquire when they participate in outreach concerts.

Selection of students for these special concerts is made by the Director, in consultation with Teachers.  In order to participate, a student should be participating regularly in performance classes and recitals.  Participation may also include consideration of repertoire (in terms of both variety and level), instrumentation, and age level.

Above, students tune up prior to a performance at Worcester’s Pop Up on Franklin Street.

Some of the venues where Pakachoag students have participated in concerts over the years include:

  • Mechanics Hall
  • Tuckerman Hall
  • The Worcester Art Museum
  • First Night Worcester (various venues)
  • The Hanover Theater
  • Tower Hill Botanic Gardens
  • Music Alive! at Wesley United Methodist Church
  • All Saints Espiscopal Church, Worcester
  • St. Paul’s Cathedral, Worcester
  • Union Station
  • Various nursing homes

If you or your child would like to be included in an outreach performance, please speak with the Director.
