Quinsigamond Youth Theatrical Company!

Children's and Youth Theatre

Theatre with Music, For Grades 2 to 6

Quinsigammond Youth Theater is a child-led, devised theatrical production.

The children’s theater program is made possible in partnership with Emanuel Lutheran Church, Quinsigamond Village in Worcester.

Fall 2023 Theatre Production

Do you ever wonder if the flower you picked could be a hat for a fairy? Or if mermaids swim somewhere deep in the sea? What about what it would be like to be a pirate, sailing the ocean blue? Do you hope that one day you could learn to fly? Or never, ever grow up?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, join the Quinsigamond Youth Theatrical Company for Fall 2023 in our own Neverland for a devised show based off of the children’s novel Peter Pan.

We’ll be using the elements from the children’s novel Peter Pan to create our own version of the story, using imagination, fun, teamwork, and a bit of pixie dust!

More About Quinsig Youth & Children's Theater

What To Expect

Quinsigamond Youth Theatrical Company’s children’s and youth theater class is a theater WITH music program vs. traditional “musical theater”.

Our collaborative program provides young theatre enthusiasts the opportunity to:

  • Work as part of a team
  • Learn basic stage directions
  • Develop basic skills for off- or on-stage expression and vocal projection
  • Learn to complement expression with music and movement

Parts are assigned by the Director, according to student experience and ability.

Not comfortable on-stage?  That is OK.  We have openings for stage hands and scenery designers.

For this program, we do not schedule make-ups for teacher sickness or bad weather (except for the winter production date) as rehearsals are set around the performance date.
