Recorder Club I and II (Fall & Spring)

For Beginners and Intermediates Ages 6-9/Grades 1-3

Tuesdays, 30 or 45 minute class (depending upon number enrolled and ages).
Time to be confirmed pending teacher and student availability (between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m.) 10 weeks

In a small group setting, students learn to play simple songs from memory and learn basic note reading skills. The student's sense of rhythm is developed through imitation and improvisation. For students who have played the recorder previously , note reading skills and musical knowledge are expanded, and duet playing is introduced; students with the appropriate finger span are offered the opportunity to learn the alto recorder.

For Beginners and Intermediates - Classes grouped and scheduled according to interest.

Groups are usually between 4 and 6 students.
Two or 3 students may be scheduled at a slightly increased tuition rate.
