Designed as a yearlong course of study, Keyboard Club offers a fun approach to learning music. A small group of 3 to 4 students will move together as a group as they develop basic keyboard orientation, and begin the basics of how to recognize pitch and rhythmnic notation. Concepts are reinforced through creative rhythm and ear-training games, duets and group improvisation.
The program is designed for young, beginning students who may not yet feel ready for the one-on-one of a private lesson, but who would like to develop some basic skills in preparation for continued private lessons in the future.
A piano or keyboard is required for home practice and students should bring their keyboard to class. Students progress through a beginning keyboard book over the course of the year.
Purchase of book required.
